I grew up in rural Alberta in an environment of art, animals and outdoors. I have always had a love for sculpture especially those pieces I was allowed to touch. There is a certain seductiveness when you slowly run your hands over a sculpture letting yourself feel the shapes and textures. You connect with the sculpture in a very personal way. This is a wonderful and exciting part of both the creation of a piece and the appreciation of other's sculptures. I have translated that into a love of art you can enjoy outside, can viscerally feel and explore in nature's beauty.
